Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining the Colour Creations Showcase to bring you creative inspiration to showcase our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.
Week 17 – Garden Green
Yes, I know, another wreath card… but you know what, I just love them and they are so easy and effective. The only stamping is the sentiment.
The flowers are die cut in Magenta Madness and Highland Heather and each has a small rhinestone in the centre. The Magenta Bow just adds that extra touch for a wreath. I love how this wreath sits on the Brick & Mortar embossed background, as though it’s hanging on a wall.
The wreath has 3 layers; bottom layer is Soft Sea Foam, the middle is the same DSP as the background and the top layer is Garden Green. The middle layer was cut from the centre of the background layer so not the waste this gorgeous paper and the hole is covered up with the White Bricks layer anyway! I glued the bottom layer direct to the white bricks. The top two layers are glue together but then these are popped up on mini dimensionals to give it some height.

Oh, I can just imagine this as a circlet in a little girl’s hair as she runs through a meadow. Sigh… so beautiful!

Kate, your card is absolutely gorgeous! I just love everything about it. It’s one of the prettiest cards I’ve ever seen. I love the DSP in the wreath. And I definitely have to get that embossing folder!

A beautiful wreath card. I so love wreaths as well – and yours is delightful. The flowers add a bright pop of colour on the gorgeous die cut wreaths. Great use of the DSP to cut in the centre of the matt to create the middle wreath layer. xxx

What a stunning wreath Kate! The pop of the MM and HH flowers, the three layers of wreath including the DSP layer, the brick wall EF – you’ve tied it all in together so beautifully. I wish this wreath was hanging on my door! Thank you so much for joining the Colour Creations Showcase this week and inspiring us all with your creation xx

Your square card is gorgeous Kate. I love the way that you used the mortar embossing folder so that the wreath actually looks like it is hanging on the wall. Stealing that idea!!! Oh and I just noticed the wreath cut from the background paper. Using that one too!

Kate this is such a beautiful wreath. I love that you created one of the layers with the DSP – those little unexpected details add so much! Well done!

Garden Green is a great colour for a leafy wreath! I love your idea of including a layer of wreath cut from the background paper, Kate; so pretty.
