Christmas, Handmade Cards, Stampin' Up!

Cherish the Season SITR

Christmas is definitely going to be a different Christmas this year. With the pandemic causing chaos, we are still not out of Stage 4 isolation here in Melbourne. Luckily the weather was rather cold, windy and raining for much of the weekend, so it kept us indoors. Thankfully I have lots of hobbies to keep me occupied 😉

This card uses the Stamparatus and the Cherish the Season stamp set in this lovely combination of colour.

I set up the largest of the bells in the Stamparatus, stamped it once in Gray Granite, before rotating the 4″ x 4″ card 90 degrees and stamping it again, continuing this process of stamping in the round (SITR). Then I added the smaller bell and repeated the process.

Once the stamping was complete, I used the Wink of Stella to colour all the bells (unfortunately the photos don’t show the amazing glimmer it gives). Then I added some colour with Gray Granite and Merry Merlot, picking up some colour from the inkpad using the Wink of Stella.

The sentiment is stamped in Versamark ink, white emboss powder added and then heat set. It was cut out using the Rectangle Stitched dies. The tiny bell is die cut in Silver Foil and added with a dimensionals and a little white twine bow added.

The mat layer of Merry Merlot card was embossed with the Scripty 3D embossing folder before being glued to the card base and the centre layer glued on top.
