3D Waves for a Whale of a Time

Having lived in Warrnambool many years ago, I have fond memories of heading out to Logan’s beach to see the whales between May – September each year. There is now a much bigger and better viewing platform as it has become quite a tourist destination.

So my card today was inspired from my childhood memories.

The designer paper pack has this full page of waves, but I cut along two lots of the waves to give me a 3D effect and for the whales to look like they are actually in the water. Placing dimensionals or foam adhesive sheets behind the layers, helps create this.

These whales were punched with the Whale Builder Punch from another sheet of the designer paper. I love how the punches can cut out images directly from the paper!

The only stamping was the fish and I haven’t added a sentiment, as I am waiting for the right occasion before doing that!
