Doily & Floral Fusion

Morning Stampers,

Today I want to share a simple card using the doily and Floral Fusion Sizzlits.

I just love this look!

I embossed the Wisteria Wonder cardstock and adhered 1/2 a doily on top. Then I glued a piece of ruffled ribbon as shown, before gluing this sheet to the Whisper White cardstock.

Next I stamped the Happy Birthday flag stamp on white cardstock and cut around it leaving a small .2mm border before gluing it slightly under the ribbon and across the doily. Next I used the Floral Fusion sizzlits to die cut the flowers and join together with a pink brad. Add a glue dot to the back and stick it on the ribbon.

Don’t you just adore this colour combination?! I sure do.

I made this for my niece’s birthday and her favourite colour is purple!

Rainbow Grunge

Morning Stampers,

Today I want to show you a universal card using the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set. This card could be used as a masculine or a feminine card by just changing the ribbon and thread colours! I just love the rainbow effect!!!

This is certainly becoming one of my all time favourite Stampin’ Up! Stamp Sets and you will notice I am starting to use it a lot, I just love it. When I first saw this stamp set, I wondered why on earth they would produce such a thing, but boy was I wrong!

This card took a matter of minutes to create. That is just how quick & easy it was. Taking a piece of Whisper White cardstock and folding it in half to create my card, I took the stamp and inked it up in 7 different colours and stamped the image side by side. Attach a piece of ribbon to the bottom with a piece of thread over the top and knotted. Stamp the sentiment, punch out and adhere with a dimensional. And you have your masterpiece done!

Father’s Day Card

Morning Crafters,

I think it is well and truly time to get making our Father’s Day cards! It’s only 2 weeks until the 1st September and it will be here before we know it.

These cards are made in a similar way to the washi tape card I posted on Wednesday.  Super duper quick and although these are Father’s Day cards, imagine using Christmas papers instead!!! How fast it would be to make your Christmas cards in no time at all. This card only takes about 5-8 minutes to make!

Adhere a sheet of JAC paper to an A4 piece of Whisper White cardstock. (If you don’t know what JAC paper is, it’s a double sided sticky sheet). Cut a strip of this cardstock at 6cm, turn this strip 90 degrees and cut again at 6cm to create a square.

Cut 6 strips of your favourite Designer Series Paper (DSP) at 1cm. You will need 3 sheets of DSP as the sheets are double sided and coordinating colours.

Pull the other side of the JAC paper off and stick the strips on making sure they line up against each other.

Trim the excess and if you so desire, run your square through the Big Shot machine in an embossing folder for a little extra texture!

I even made a Happy Birthday one with left over scraps of paper!

Cardstock: Baked Brown Sugar, Neutrals DSP Stack, Whisper White

Tools: Big Shot, Chevron TIEF, Simply Scored, Trimmer

Punches: Word Window, Modern Label

Accessories:  Tombo Glue, Stitched Satin Ribbon, Glue Dots

This next card is also using JAC paper, but I cut the A4 page in quarters and adhered 1 piece to my A5 folded card. The Baked Brown Sugar strips were stuck on randomly, one across and one up and down, then alternating the strips of DSP and remaining strips of Baked Brown Sugar cardstock. Isn’t it an effective look! The centre piece was die cut and punched and put together with dimensionals and I sponged the edges with Baked Brown Sugar ink before wrapping the twine around 3 times.

Masculine, Owl Punch

Owl Builder Punch

Morning Crafters,

Today I want to share the Owl Builder Punch.

Punches are so easy to use, cheap to purchase and can be used all the time with different cardstock and papers to create a totally different look!

I embossed the crumb cake cardstock and adhered it to the whisper white card, then punched the circle out of the front of the card. The owl is glued to the inside of the card, centred behind the circle. Doesn’t he look cute, as though he is peeking out of a tree trunk!

Kissing Technique

Morning Stampers,

Today I want to show you a card using the Kissing technique.

This is a very effective stamping style and I love it. Simply ink the flower stamp with Pistachio Pudding Stampin’ Ink, then ink the blossom branch with Strawberry Slush and stamp (kiss) it directly on top of the flower stamp before placing the double inked flower stamp onto the white cardstock. Repeat this process across the white card for a wonderful background.

This is one technique that is great for a workshop. Stay tuned for a date to be set soon.

Washi Tape

Fun with Washi Tape

Hello Fellow Crafters!

Thanks for stopping by to see my Fun with Washi Tape post.

The idea for today’s card was some inspiration I found on Pinterest. This card has lots of white space topped with a sweet little Washi tape present complete with bow. I added a small yellow background for a splash of happiness!

IMG_3158

This is one of the quickest cards ever to put together and great for mass producing.

Thought I might even do this for a group of non-crafters at my next Party so they can see just how easy it is to make a quick card without being overwhelmed.

Then I came across the idea of making some cute Washi Tape toothpick flags, while baking cupcakes for my daughter’s 4th birthday.  Stay tuned to see them another day!

What I love so much about working with Washi Tape is that the projects are so quick, easy and the tape is so workable…. and it’s fun!
