Blog Hop: Christmas in July

Dear Crafters,

AWHT Logo-001

Today some of the Art with Heart Stampin’ Up! team girls are presenting some fabulous Christmas projects to inspire you. This year we already have new Christmas sets to play with in the 2015 Annual Catalogue, and some old favourites too. We also have a brand new 2015 Holiday catalogue coming soon. If you would like a copy of any of our catalogues, to attend a Stampin’ Up! class or join a large fabulous group of crafty women by becoming part of the team (hobby demonstrators welcome), be sure to contact me.

You have come to my blog from the lovely and very talented, Kathryn Mangelsdorf.  Blogs are full circles, so you can start hopping here and then at the end of each post is a link to the next. There is also a list of participants at the end in case of any broken links.

Now let’s get started!

For my projects today, I have used the 2014-2016 In Colours along with some traditional Christmas stamp sets and non-traditional stamp sets from the Annual Catalogue!

The first one is a flip flop card and uses the gorgeous Wondrous Wreath Bundle (#137624).

Wondrous Wreath Stampin Up

When the card opens, it opens out twice, first from the right, then left.

Wondrous Wreath Stampin Up

Here is a close up of the stunning sentiment die cut in gold glitter paper layered across the wreath.

The next two cards are very simple but effective.

The first uses the Festival of Trees stamp set (#135059)

Festival of Trees Stampin Up

I basically stamped the tree image using only the Cucumber Crush ink multiple times. The sentiment is stamped in Watermelon Wonder then let the ink dry. I rubbed the Versamark Ink pad across the entire card before adding some Holographic embossing powder and heat setting it. Look at the sparkle!!! The base card is also Cucumber Crush.

Festival of Trees Stampin Up

My next card today uses the Lovely as a Tree stamp set (#128655 w, #127793 c)

Starting with the same process as the previous card, but instead I added the Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter over the Versamark ink. How pretty is that? This didn’t stick so well, but nothing a little hairspray cannot fix!!!!

Lovely as a Tree Stampin Up

My final card today is also a simple Christmas card using strips of the Cherry on Top DSP stack, the bird builder & heart punches.

Christmas Candles Stampin' Up!

As you can see, the bird builder punch was used for the branches, but also the gold foil flames for the candles. These are not really traditional Christmas colours, but I really think they work well for a little cheery Christmas, especially bringing in the gold!!!!

I love that sentiment for this card too, very appropriate.

Baby Bon Bons

Dear Crafters,

We Christmas is only days away and I have my in-laws arriving later today, so thought I would quickly share with you a little treat I have made for their arrival!

What better way to celebrate Christmas, than with some Bon Bons right? Well check out these little beauties inspired by Linda Parker!!!!

Christmas Bon Bons

I even made the box for them to go in!

Christmas Bon Bons

I have used Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green card stock for the box lid and base, and the Trim the Tree DSP Stack to make the baby bon bons with the Envelope Punch Board (EPB).

Each bon bon fits one chocolate Lindt ball…. well who doesn’t love a little chocolate at this time of year?!

Christmas Bon Bons

I finished off the top of the box with the Spiral Flower Original die in coordinating card stock and glued it to the top!

Spiral Flower Bigz die

Another one I have made with Pool Party, Smoky Slate and the brand new bow punch which will be available from 6th January during Sale-a-bration, and I just had to share it with you!

Bright & Beautiful

Dear Crafters,

This Wednesday will be my last day of work for a month, yes you heard it right, I am taking 4 weeks off work. It is unheard of, but this year I want to spend as much time with my precious girls before my youngest heads off to school in 2015. She will be a big Prep girl and I will no longer have them home with me during the day 😦

Anyway, not only that, but also more stampin’ time!!!! Ye-ha!!!!

Here are some of the cards I have made for work colleagues.

Bright & Beautiful

These are so quick and easy to make but look amazing. You could make 10 of these in 1/2 hour easily!

The base card is Blackberry Bliss and embossed with the Stars TIEF. I stamped the larger star from the Bright & Beautiful stamp set in Crumb Cake ink onto Whisper White card.

Bright & Beautiful

The sentiment is stamped over the top of the star in Blackberry Bliss ink.

This is adhered to the base card and a ribbon bow attached to the top of the star.

Bright & Beautiful

The inside of the card is also stamped in the same colours in the bottom corner!

These colours are amazing together and work well for a non-traditional Christmas card. What do you think?

Endless Wishes

Hello Crafters,

Now we are well on our way to Christmas and Santa will be here soon kids, I have a few more Christmas cards to share with you.

Today we are using the Endless Wishes stamp set which is photopolymer, meaning the stamps are totally clear and stick easily to the clear blocks. I love how when you stamp with these, you can see exactly where the image will be on the card.

Endless Wishes
This card is one that you could make as a stamp a stack, making multiple of the same style in no time at all.

Just pre-cut all your cardstock pieces and then stamp away, it’s that easy!

I have used Pool Party and Night of Navy with White.

Endless Wishes

With this heat in Melbourne these past few days, I just felt the need for something a little cooler with the snowflakes!!!!

White on white

Hello Crafters,

Heavens is it Monday again already??? Yikes where did that weekend just go?

We had such a busy and exciting weekend with the kids school fete on Saturday and we managed to win first prize in the major raffle (XBox One). Hubby was super excited when he arrived home from work to find it under the Christmas tree!

Then we went to collect our new addition to the family – meet Maggie!

Isn’t she just the cutest?!!! She is only 6 weeks old and a bundle of joy already. She is such an affectionate little kitten.

Sunday we had a birthday party and then the kinder Christmas party and we are all totally exhausted, hence I don’t have a lot of craft to share with you today, but I will show you a card I case’d from splitcoaststampers.com.

Christmas Star

This is the first white on white card I have made and I totally love it. I will make some more of these for Christmas this year!
