Heart of Christmas Week 12: A Little Bit Festive

Heart of Christmas Header 2024 - 1

I’m thrilled you are here to join us each Monday evening for the AWHT Heart of Christmas Blog Hop showcasing Stampin’ Up! seasonal products.

Week 12

Today I feature the A Little Bit Festive Mix & Match Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP). It has three sheets of double-sided 12 x 12 patterned papers with festive Christmas designs on one side and all-purpose patterns on the other. And it also has three sheets of die-cut Christmas elements that you can use on card fronts or to frame photos on scrapbook pages—stockings, wreaths, Christmas trees, and more.

Card 1 – a simple strip of patterned paper on a Gold Foil matt down the centre. A diecut Garden Green circle with one of the elements attached on Dimensionals and a white circle with the lovely sentiment to finish the card.

Card 2 – I love this gingham patterned paper so I covered the entire card front. A large Basic White circle [Spotlight on Nature dies] is die cut and three of the elements attached. The sentiment is Gold heat embossed. Under the circle, is some of the beautiful Cherry Cobbler & Gold Satin Ribbon. Some star elements are added.

Card 3 – Another simple layout with some of the Season of Elegance Specialty DSP cut into 2cm strips and adhered to some Basic White card, then added to the Cherry Cobbler card base. A Gold heat embossed sentiment on Cherry Cobbler card punched out with a 1¾” circle punch and adhered to the wreath element. This is adhered on Dimensionals. Some lovely gold sequins from the Neutrals pack finishes it off.

  1. Fabulous cards, Kate and I especially love the blue gingham one. I love that there is coordinating paper with the die cuts, but you’ve shown with the last card how well you can coordinate them with other papers.

  2. Really lovely cards Kate. I have been playing with these products this week too. I really like the contrast of the red die cuts against that gorgeous blue gingham paper. The background of strips of Season of Elegance DSP is really effective too.

  3. These are great cards Kate! I was also playing with these products for a video this week. I really like the contrast of the red in the die cuts against that gorgeous Night of Navy gingham paper. I like how you have used the strips of Season of Elegance DSP too.

  4. These cards are great, Kate! I really struggle to use ready-cut pieces, and kits, but just love how you’ve used all these elements to create three very different cards. As I am a sucker for gingham, I have to say card #2 is my favourite, but I love them all!

  5. Three gorgeous cards, Kate! You’ve used the die-cut Christmas elements beautifully on all three cards. I love them all but card three is a stand out for me.
