Week 37 – Orchid Oasis
How are you enjoying the new Mini catalogue? Have you placed an order and what was your favourite new product?
Today I feature the Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper. Although Orchid Oasis is not one of the colours in this paper pack, I felt it went really well with the tones. So, my card base is Orchid Oasis which is dry embossed using the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder.

A piece of the DSP with the bird print is layered onto a piece of the same design but the reverse side! The Stylish Shapes dies, was used to cut a Basic White circle which I gently coloured with Orchid Oasis ink using a Blending Brush. A Sponge Dauber added extra darker ink around the edges. Some Linen Thread was placed to the centre of the cirrcle and the feature image was fussy cut from a piece of the designer paper, popped up on Dimensionals.

On the inside, a simple sentiment is stamped and a pieced of the DSP & cardstock were added across the bottom of the white insert.

Thanks for dropping by. I hope you join me next Wednesday for inspiration using Parkeet Party.

Kate those gorgeous little birds certainly coordinate nicely with the softly blended die cut circle. The embossed panel is just lovely together with this DSP.

Gorgeous card Kate, the beautiful soft florals on the DSP looks lovely with the Orchid Oasis base. Beautiful fussy cutting too!

A beautiful card Kate. You are right, the Flight & Airy DSP is delightful with Orchid Oasis. I love your light colouring of the circular label behind the fussy cut birds & flowers. xxx

This is such a pretty and feminine card, Kate! That Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper works so well with. Orchid Oasis it’s hard to believe it’s not actually one of the colours in the DSP! I love the vintage feel that embossing folder gives to your gorgeous card.

So pretty, Kate. I agree, the tones in that delightful paper complement Orchid Oasis well (or, vice versa). The embossed background, and popped-up birds, are lovely details.
