Week 17 – Cherry Cobbler
Today I have another ‘new to me’ Bundle, Time Together. but it is actually in the Annual catalogue. So, tonight I am using some old and new products!
On my Cherry Cobbler card base, is another layer that was dry embossed with the new Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder. I also used my open Paper Snips to distress the edges. The next layer is a piece of floral patterned paper from the Delightfully Eclectic DSP which is cut using the Countryside Corners die. The hour glass was stamped in Crumb Cake ink and die cut with the coordiating dies. The sand is stamped in Cherry Cobbler. This is added to the DSP on dimensionals. The floral images on either side are stamped in Crumb Cake and coloured using the Bubble Bath Stampin’ Blends Combo Markers and glued in place.

The sentiment is stamped and die cut and a dimensional on either end so it sits up across the hour glass. Those cute little hearts are from one of the dies in the set. It’s a large heart with little ones inside that I wasn’t going to throw away. Before I glued all the layers together, I felt the dry embossed layer needed a bit more, so I took a sponge dauber and Tombo multipurpose glue, and gently tapped it around the edges. This glue stays sticky for a little while, so I had time to go back and rub on some Gilded Leafing.

Do you see those sparkly bits? Well that is some of the new White Iridescent Ribbon. I pulled the threads from one end and it turns into these slippery threads. I also added some Wink of Stella to the sand (hard to see in the photo).
On the inside, a few more die cut pieces and stamped flowers from the bundle.

Lovely card Kate, I have been looking to inspiration to use that bundle. You have given it to me.

Lovely card Kate, nice to see the gilded leaf make an appearance again. The sand in Cherry Cobbler looks great too. You’ve reminded me to add the embossing folder to my next pre-order, and just maybe the hourglass bundle too.

I love the tone-on-tone look of the Distressed Tile Cherry Cobbler layer on the card base, Kate. The gilded leafing is a great addition. The softness of the pink floral paper is a great contrast to the bold Cherry Cobbler card, and it works beautifully. Lovely card.

A delightful card Kate. You layering with the distressed tile embossed panel that has been further “distressed” around the edges and the addition of gorgeous gold leaf is all so beautiful. The hour glass over the DSP label with your lovely flowers wonderful. I have been trying to resist this bundle but you have made it so hard. x

Oh, wow, this is such a stunning card, Kate. I love the way you’ve used the threads of the new White Iridescent Ribbon so effectively and that layer of DSP.
