Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining the Colour Creations Blog Hop to bring you creative inspiration showcasing our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order.
Week 15 – Crumb Cake
Tonight we focus on the colour, Crumb Cake, a lovely neutral tone that goes with every colour in the Stampin’ Up! range.
I adore this Happy Forest Friends Designer Series Paper, and although it doesn’t have Crumb Cake in it, I felt that it worked well with the bear and trees. My card base is Crumb Cake with a layer of So Saffron card, then another Crumb Cake layer embossed with the Stitched Greenery die.
The patterned paper is cut using the Deckled Rectangles die and layered onto So Saffron card. I trimmed a piece of the Natural 1/2″ Woven Ribbon and added it with glue dots across the card. The top panel is added with dimensionals. I die cut three acorns from Crumb Cake card and glued them to the trees. The sentiment (Happier Than Happy Bundle) is stamped onto So Saffron card and die cut with this cute little banner and added with dimensionals. A Linen Thread bow is added with a glue dot.
I strip of the embossed Stitched Greenery Crumb Cake card is added down the right side of the Basic White insert.
I made this card for my youngest daughter’s birthday this Friday – welcoming her TEENAGE-HOOD! Yikes, when did that happen?!!! This suite was the Number 1 item she added to our ‘must have’ list when we first browsed through the Annual catalogue together, so it was appropriate I used it for her 13th birthday card!
Thanks for dropping by. I hope you can join me next week for inspiration using Crushed Curry.

Very, very cute Kate. The inclusion of the stitched leaf background is wonderful as it adds so much texture but also works perfectly with the woodland scene.

What a super cute card Kate and I am sure your teenager will love it! As you said that although the paper doesn’t have Crumb Cake it works perfectly as does So Saffron.

A gorgeous card Kate. I’m sure your daughter is delighted with it. Your layering of Crumb Cake with So Saffron is brilliant and both look amazing with the DSP and the Linen Twine on the cute tag. Xxx

Gorgeous – bet your beautiful girl loved it! I really like how you cut out the DSP panel with a Deckled Rectangle Die, and your choice of the Stitched Greenery Die for the background, Kate.

Aww, what a lovely card! It’s just gorgeous – they layering is fabulous. I think that these colours and papers would work beautifully as a new baby card, too.

Oh, this is such a sweet card – I’m sure Grace loved it! The DSP works perfectly with the layers of so saffron and Crumb cake. My fave part of the card is the sentiment banner with the Linen Thread bow.
