Masculine Creative Showcase with the Art with Heart Team

AWHT Creative Showcase Masculine

Welcome to our new Monthly Creative Showcase with the Art With Heart Team!

This month we are featuring Masculine themed projects. We have many masculine themed products in the Stampin’ Up! range including Stamp Sets and coordinating Dies, Designer Series Papers, Embellishments and Embossing Folders. The Art With Heart Team have a wonderful selection of projects to inspire you to create Masculine Masterpieces.

Now let’s get started!

This set of cards were very quick to create and I shared this style with my class ladies to help them cut into their Designer Series Papers. Starting with a simple card base, then cut one piece of DSP slightly smaller (5mm). Take the DSP and cut about a third off the bottom, then flip that piece over to the reverse design. Glue these to your card then add a strip of Tear & Tape across the join. Add some of the Braided Burlap Trim. Punch some 2″ Circles and stamp a sentiment and add a trinket with a glue dot!

This is a wonderful way to use your pretty DSPs without covering too much of the pattern with other elements. You can whip up a whole bunch of these in minutes.

My next project is a pop up box card or some call it a Card in a Box, but I wanted a longer length than usual. I needed it to be a landscape style for my golf scene, and it still fits into a C6 envelope!

Did you know that the golf ball can be cut out using your 1″ circle punch?!! Yep, it’s the perfect fit!!!

I stamped the entire image in Garden Green and die cut it out, then stamped the image again in Smoky Slate. Instead of die cutting, punch the golf ball and glue it to the die cut!

I also glued some of the grass die cuts in front and some behind the centre section for more depth. How cool are these wooden elements too?!

The back of the card is where you write your message and I have decorated it with some more of the DSP and a sentiment.

A tip: when gluing in the golfer, it is best to place your card on top of your envelope to ensure that all the images fit within the size of the envelope!

  1. Kate you are amazing. I love the golfer card in a box. It has such wonderful dimension. Ive been wanting to make a card in a box – it would be great to CASE yours, if that’s OK. Love the simplicity of your cards that focus on the Tropical DSP. A great was to use DSP rather than hoard it.

  2. Love your DSP cards and how you shared them with your class ladies. They are gorgeous and a fabulous way to use the beautiful DSP. I have finally bit the bullet and bought the golf suite of goodies and your pop up card is soooo good I love it. Love the depth and perspective. I may have to case it for my Dad’s birthday card in June if I may. ❤️
