Tonight I have something a little different that is using the Sailing Home Bundle. I think most people tend to create masculine projects with this bundle, but I was determined to try something feminine. My sister has recently moved to Paynesville, a small seaside town in Gippsland, and it got me thinking about all the sail boats on the canals down there.
I also entered this into a colour challenge over at Colour Inkspirations on Facebook and I placed in the Top 5 picks (equal second)!!!
The colours are: Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride, White and Gold Foil.
I actually used Shimmery White card stock and did a Blushing Bride Watercolour wash in the background to get that gorgeous shimmery look.
I also used the large seaweed die to stamp the background. Can you see it? I just placed the die onto a clear block with a glue dot and tapped it gently onto the ink pad before stamping onto the card. What a cool effect!
The Crumb Cake frame is created using the new Heirloom Frames and 3D Embossing folders. I sponged over the top afterwards with a dauber and crumb cake ink to give it a little more definition.
Is there a new technique or product here that you would like to try?
