Each Monday evening until mid-December, I am taking part in the Heart of Christmas blog hop showcasing our amazing range of holiday products from the Annual and July-December Mini catalogues. Please hop along and enjoy some fabulous inspiration from our talented team!
My cards tonight are all quite easy to create using the Penguin Playmates 12″x12″ Designer Papers. Many of the images on the patterned papers can be cut using the Penguin Builder Punch or fussy cut with Paper Snips to create some gorgeous cards this Christmas.

These two cards are easily made with two pieces of patterned paper, cut diagonally in both directions, then pieced together so you have two patterns on each card. This is such an effective way to create multiples of the same design, but by changing up the card base (Fresh Freesia & Soft Sea Foam) and embellishments, can bring a different look!

The Just Jade card base and stamped sentiment really brings out the scarf of the penguin. How gorgeous are these Wonderful Snowflakes too?!!!

The Fresh Freesia card base is stamped with the snowflakes stamp from the Peaceful Deer stamp set. Four squares measuring 4cm x 4cm are glued in place and a circle (Layering Circles Dies) cut from another sheet of the patterned paper has some White Glittered Organdy Ribbon behind it before being added with dimensionals. A penguin is also popped up and some faux resin dots added. The sentiment (Christmas to Remember) is cut out using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch and some ink added around the edges with sponge daubers.

This card heavily features the Scalloped Contours dies cut with different patterned papers an layered. The spotty layer has some slits around the edges, which I have threaded the ribbon through to help hold it in place. The sentiment is from the Penguin Place stamp set.

This next card use some of the gorgeous Be Dazzling Specialty Paper; a must have item during SAB!

This card was created using up some strips of patterned paper that were off cuts from other projects. The Christmas Trees die cut, Scalloped Contours die cut and the gingham bow were also sitting on my desk and I was determined to use them up, so that is how this card came together. I had the strips of DSP sitting across the card behind the dotty layer, but I felt it needed something else, so out came the Be Dazzling Specialty Paper and cut a few narrow strips. Wow, adding them made all the difference. I was actually quite pleased with the outcome!

The Penguin Builder Punch cut these little cuties directly from the patterned paper. I did stamp the scarves (Fresh Freesia, Misty Moonlight, Soft Seam Foam) and fussy cut them with Paper Snips before gluing to each penguin. I then added some Fine Tip Glue for a glossy finish, but it reacted with the ink and once dry it doesn’t look great, but hey, hopefully the recipient won’t mind. The penguins are popped up on dimensionals to create my penguin tree! Finally I added some Faux Resin Dots.

Are you sick of all these cards yet?!!!
This will be the last one for today, I promise. This card uses the Encircled in Beauty Dies to create that gorgeous medallion which was my starting point for this card. I then used some layers of DSP that left over from other projects (can you tell I am determined to use up every piece?). The Stitched Rectangles dies was used to create the narrow dotty border to create a frame. The fussy cut images are added with dimensionals and some Blue Adhesive Backed Gems added to finish it off.

All of these cards were made over the past couple of days. I am currently on annual leave and seeing as we are still in lockdown with not much else to do, I have been busy crafting, can you tell?!! But I have been able to really build up my stash of cards ready to send out to my family and friends early this Christmas!!!
