Heart of Christmas #16 – How to cut an A4 sheet to create the perfect layers for 3 cards (includes template)!

HOC Blog Header 2023Each Monday, some of the Art With Heart team are joining the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop to bring you creative inspiration showcasing our September-December Mini catalogue and Annual catalogue Christmas products.

Heart of Christmas Week 16

Today I have a template for you that creates 3 cards from 1 x A4 sheet of cardstock cut to use as Matt layers with no waste at all. Using offcuts of DSP you have lying around to decorate the panels, is also a great way to use them up. These cards come together really quickly, so fantastic if you are time poor.

For my cards today, I went with a sheet of A4 Basic Black cardstock as my matting pieces and the Merry Bold & Bright DSP onto Thick Basic White card bases. Here is the cutting template:

I stamped the sentiment from the More Wishes stamp set, iVersamark ink added White Emboss Powder and melted it with my Heat Tool. These were added with Black Dimensionals to my cards.

By gluing the pieces in different positions, can change up the look of your cards. Which layout do you like best?

On the inside decorate with a stamped sentiment & some DSP.

Thanks for dropping by. I hope you can join me next Monday for our final blog hop for 2023!

The Deckled Circles dies were used to cut the circles and I sponged the edges. The sentiment from Joy To You stamp set, was stamped onto Basic White card and cut using the new Heartfelt Hexagon punch. again I sponged the edges.
