Dear Crafters,

Today I have a card that I couldn’t wait to create using the brand new Baby Bear stamp set. Check him out, how cute is he?

I started by embossing the background of the card using the new Petal Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Next I stamped the baby bear 3 times starting with Sahara Sand ink, Crumb Cake and then Soft Suede for the final layer.

I used the largest of the plain squares from the new Layered Squares framelits to cut the white layer and then the largest of the scallop squares in Island Indigo card and joined them together with dimensionals.

The sentiment is also from the same stamp set. Isn’t this just the most adorable baby bear?!

Welcome Baby Jackson Side Step Card

Something for Baby Side Step Card #stampinup

Dear Crafters,

Today I used the Something for Baby stamp set with the coordinating Baby’s First Framelits to create a card for a new baby boy, Jackson!

The base card is Soft Sky and the drawers are Marina Mist, and I sponged the edges with Marina Mist ink. The knobs of th drawers are the 1/8″ Mini Silver Brads.

This is a side step card which folds flat to fit into a standard C6 envelope. I saw a similar card on Queen B Creations website, although I changed up my dimensions to use an A5 card, so I can make 2 cards from 1 sheet of A4 paper without wastage!

The Decorative Label punch was used to create the bottom of the dresser.

The pram and the duck were stamped with stampin’ inkpads then die cut with the coordinating framelits. I coloured the third image using Stampin Write Markers from the Brights Pack. The name was stamped using the Back to Basics Alphabet stamp set, which is Photopolymer so I could see exactly where I was stamping each letter to line them up!

Baby, Card in a Box Style, Handmade Cards

Baby Crib

Dear Crafters,

Check out this cute baby girl card in the shape of a baby crib!

I saw something similar on Pinterest but they didn’t have instructions on how to make it, so my effort was totally trial and error, but I’m sure I will make another for a boy, so I will take note of all my measurements.

I figured it was similar to the card in a box style, so I worked it from there. The ends are 2″ wide and cut with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch. The Hearts Border punch was also used to cut the pink trim.

This card does lie flat and fits into the Stampin’ Up! C6 envelopes!

I used the Made With Love stamp set and coordinating Baby’s First Framelits Dies, using So Saffron, Pink Pirouette and Mint Macaron as my colour theme.

Don’t forget to decorate your envelope to coordinate with your card!

Baby, Handmade Cards

Elephant Cuteness overload

Dear Crafters,

Today I share a card using the stamp set, Zoo Babies (pg 32 AC) and the Go Wild DSP (pg 144 AC)!

My base is Tip Top Taupe card stock with a layer of Pink Pirouette card and a layer of the Go Wild DSP.

I cut all the pieces of card to size, then punched a 2-1/2″ circle out of the Designer Paper. I tied a knot in some Pink Pirouette Seam Binding Ribbon and tied it around the DSP as shown.

I stamped the elephant image onto some Whisper White card using Tip Top Taupe ink before punching it out with a 2″circle punch. I used the Confetti Hearts Border Punch to get the tiny hearts!

The sentiment, Congratulations is from the same stamp set, inked in Pink Pirouette and cut with the Word Window punch.

Sweet little deer

Made With Love Baby Girl Card #stmpinup

Today I enter a challenge at Just Add Ink. The challenge this week is a Sketch Challenge JAI#279.

I am loving using the Go Wild Designer Series Paper at the moment and thought it was perfect to use for this baby girl card using the stamp set, Made With Love.

I began with the colour scheme of Tip Top Taupe, Pink Pirouette and Whisper White. A variety of circle punches in coordinating colours, helps create the focal point.

I water coloured the image to give it the softness required. Paper Piercing has also added a lovely border around the pink card for added interest.

Sweet baby girl

Dear Crafters,

Today I share two baby girl cards using the stamp set, Made With Love.

I have used Pink Pirouette, Sahara Sand and Very Vanilla card stock along with Watercolour paper.

How gorgeous is that background? It uses the new Woodland TIEF in the holiday catalogue. I just love it and thought it was perfect behind these images. I also used the Triple Banner punch and the stunning Metallic Thread.

Her is another card using the same stamp set, but this gorgeous little deer!!
