I’m thrilled you are here to join us each Wednesday evening for the AWHT Colour Creations Blog Hop showcasing the full range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.
Week 20 – Crumb Cake
Today I feature the Labeled with Love stamp set in this soft feminine thank you card. I’ve been asked to make some thank you cards for teachers for the end of Year 12 for my eldest daughter.
A Thick Basic White card base with a layer of the pretty dry embossed background (Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder) which I splattered with my dark Crumb Cake Blends Marker (this photo is a little yellowish and looks more like Very Vanilla, but it is infact Basic White).

A fellow SU Demonstrator, Melody Hyde, shared her idea of stamping the label image to create this medallion effect, by stamping once, rotating 90º, stamping again and repeating. I did this in Black Memento ink and then lightly coloured each section carefully with ink and a Water Painter. This was then die cut using a circle from the Stylish Shapes dies.
The flowers were stamped in Bubble Bath and the leaves in in Crumb Cake. This is fussy cut with Paper Snips and added to the medallion on dimensionals. Some smaller leaves from the Fluffiest Friends dies were cut in Crumb Cake cardstock and glued behind for extra interest.

The sentiment is stamped in Crumb Cake ink onto a white diecut from the Unbounded Love dies. Some Iridescent Pearls were coloured with Bubble Bath Blends Marker and added to the centre of each flower. A Linen Thread bow is added on a Glue Dot.
Thanks for dropping by. I hope you join me next Wednesday for inspiration using Crushed Curry.
Please enjoy the wonderful inspiration of our next team member, Rachel Palmieri.

Simply gorgeous Kate. I love the delicate colouring and elegance of your card. I was trying to work out which stamp set you had used but then remembered Melody’s idea. The medallion is beautifully stamped and the delicate flowers over the medallion is perfect. A wonderful teacher thank you. xx

Kate, this is absolutely gorgeous! Fantastic idea, to create the stamped medallion to beautifully co-ordinate with the embossed background. I love the softness of colour on your design. The teachers will be thrilled, I’m sure.
