Week 45 – Shaded Spruce
Today I feature the Mini Alphabet dies and the Paper Florist dies. I began by adding a piece of Adhesive sheet (your best friend when it comes to this!) to the back of some Basic White card before die cutting the Mini Alphabet. Once die cut, I popped out each of the letters and adhered the main panel to the Shaded Spruce card base. I coloured the letters, before removing the backing and adhering them back into place. The flowers were die cut and coloured the same way.

The Stampin’ Blends Combo Markers used to colour the letters and the flowers are: Lemon Lolly, Soft Sea Foam, Pool Party, Azure Afternoon, Fresh Freesia & Berry Burst. Some Wink of Stella is added to the centres.

On the inside, I used my Blending Brush to add some Shaded Spruce ink around the edges and stamped one of my favourite sentiments [Throughout the Year] and added some more flowers/leaves. The Adhesive-backed Shiny Sequins in the Lemon Lolly colour finishes the card off perfectly.

Thanks for dropping by. I hope you join me next Wednesday for inspiration using Smoky Slate.

Sorry Kate but wordpress is making it very tricky ATM for me to leave a comment! I did want to let you know how gorgeous your card is with the coloured letters making a beuatiful backdrop to the flowers. I also feel that the inside of your card is worthy enough to be an outside on a card.

A great card Kate to feature Shaded Spruce. The ombre look is very effective and I love how you have carried the flowers to the inside.

What a clever idea to use the Mini Alphabet Dies as the background for your card. The multi coloured letters look fabulous, especially with the beautiful flowers.

Such a pretty card, Kate. I especially love how you’ve decorated inside the card – the softly blended ink around the edges, the gorgeous bold sentiment and bright flowers, and those Lemon Lolly sequins. Gorgeous!
