Week 41 – Poppy Parade
With only 1 week to go of Saleabration, have you made the most of placing your order to get some amazing freebies?
Today I feature the Drizzling Droplets stamp set, which is one of the March Online Exclusives range. As a demonstrator I got to preorder it, just one of the perks of being a demonstrator. As soon as I saw this set, I immediately had this idea to create my card today.
I took a piece of Basic White card and inked the stamp with Versamark ink, stamped it, added Heat & Stick Powder, melted it gently with my Heat Tool then added the Gilded Leafing. I dab this over the entire card, then use a sponge dauber to rub it gently. I find this works better than using my fingers.
I added a matt layer of Gold Foil, and before I adhered this to my Thick Basic White base, I added some Gold Satin Edged Ribbon. The Poppy Parade scallop border (Scalloped Contours dies) was added. The ‘hello’ is gold foil in the Thoughtful Moments Hybrid Embossing Folder (a die and embossing folder combo). The foil goes in the embossing folder as does the die and it embosses and cuts it out at the same time!
This is added on Mini Dimensionals. The hearts are punch from the Bee Builder Punch in gold foil and Poppy Parade card.
On the inside, I stamped the sentiment (Sweetly Scripted) along the bottom edge and added 2 more hearts.
Thanks for dropping by. I hope you join me next Wednesday for inspiration using Pretty Peacock.

What a lovely card Kate, the gilded leaf dots really stand out. It’s so nice we you see a stamp set and can picture a design in your head straight off. Also even better when it comes together as you pictured it.

Such a striking colour combination, lots of drama and classy too. The gold droplets are very nice and support the gold ‘hello’ so well.

Oh my goodness, Kate … I think this might be my favourite, of all your cards! Outstanding! LOVE the gilded Drizzling Droplets, and the embossed and die-cut “Hello”. The colour scheme, and stamping of the lovely new sentiment inside, is beautiful, too.
