Each Monday evening, I am taking part in the Heart of Christmas blog hop showcasing our amazing range of holiday products from the Annual and July-December Mini catalogues. Please hop along and enjoy some fabulous inspiration from our talented team!
Tonight’s cards feature some pinecones again, which coordinte beautifully with the patterned paper in the background! Pinecone hunting was one of my childhood memories, who could find the biggest one to put in the open fire place of our home.
The Christmas Season bundle and Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper are heavily featured in these cards.
The card base, stamped branches and sentiment (Christmas to Remember stamp set) are Evening Evergreen. The pinecones are stamped in Crumb Cake and Early Espresso inks.
This next card features some Soft Succulent stamped foliage, Red Foil die cut berries and Real Red Mini Ruffled Ribbon.
The Soft Succulent layer is embossed with the Tasteful Textiles 3D Embossing Folder. These pinecones are stamped off once in the background and full strength on the top layer in Early Espresso for a darker look.
On both cards I added some of the Evening Evergreen In Color Jewels.
On the inside of both cards, I decorated them with the same sentiment and strip of DSP.
Thanks for dropping by.

I did have to smile at Tina’s comment about looking for the monkey nuts under the pine trees. I too loved doing this at one of the most beautiful parks we have here in town. It was so much fun seeing who could collect the most. Two gorgeous cards featuring those lovely pinecones, Kate. I love the touch of red on card 2.

Both of your cards are lovely Kate but my favourite is the second one. It’s just so nicely balanced

Love your cards Kate and how you have used the pine cones DSP together with the stamped pine cones. Your first card is lovely and I especially like the ribbon colour and detail on this card.

This pinecone patterned DSP is one of my absolute faves from the catalogue this year and you’ve used it so beautifully on both your cards, Kate.

I forgot to add I loved you pinecone memory from your childhood. We used to holiday in the Blue Mountains when I was a child and the lovely old house we would return to rent every year had a pinecone forest next to it that i would explore for hours – maybe that is why I love this DSP so much!

Your cards are both so lovely, and how nice to have a wonderful memory attached! We had a big pine tree at school and we’d hunt underneath for the ‘monkey nuts’ LOL!! I shudder now to think of cracking open the pine nuts with our teeth!

I love this pinecone paper, one of my absolute favourites this season and I love the way that you have used it Kate. I spy my favourite greeting too. Two fabulous cards.

Beautiful use of these gorgeous products, Kate! The first card is my favourite, I think because of the ribbon treatment, and the subtle, retro, look of the paper and stamps. Gorgeous.
