Balloons galore

Dear Crafters,

Today I enter a challenge at Just Add Ink. The challenge this week is an Inspiration Challenge JAI#265.

What better way to celebrate the birth of a baby girl, than with balloons and hearts. Yes I know, everyone will probably do birthday cards with the balloon inspiration photo, but I wanted to mix it up!

And besides, my cousin had a baby girl last week and it inspired me to try this.

I also wanted to share with you something else I have been practicing, and that is my little Sailor’s Knot in the thick baker’s twine. You can see it at the bottom of the card, cute hey!!!!

Don’t forget to decorate the inside panel along with a coordinating envelope!

I have to say I was very pleased with the outcome of this card!

  1. This is a super-cute card, Kate. I love the confetti paper you’ve used for the balloons, and yes, you are very clever (and patient) to create those sailors’ knots! Thanks for joining in the fun at Just Add Ink this week. 🙂

  3. Balloons to celebrate a baby is a delightful idea Kate! I love the little banners you added over the top and how they float over a fluffy cloud filled sky. Great job on the sailor knot too – it makes a great decorative detail. Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week.
