Origami Star card

Dear Crafters,

I am posting this early today, as I’m on my way to the airport for a mini break in Queensland for a few days, but don’t fear, you will still be hearing from me!

Today, I share a fancy fold card, called an Origami Star Triangle card. Yes it does look rather fancy, but it is actually quite simple to create.

Here it is closed and then opened up!

It’s quite simple as long as you follow the steps on closing it in the correct order.

Firstly close up the bottom right hand side, then the left and then the top folds down and the RHS slips underneath.

I added the DSP to the front and the back so when the star is closed, you get that gorgeous pattern.

I die cut some stars and mounted them to the finished card, being careful to only have the dimensionals on the upper LHS of the star so it only sticks to the top flap of the triangle!

Bright & Beautiful Stars

Hello Crafters,

Today I share with you a card that can be used for so many occasions, from Christmas to Birthdays, masculine or feminine!

Stars are amazing and look so good in nearly any colour. So here I made a card using the new Star Framelits and the coordinating Bright and Beautiful Stamp Set.

Bright & Beautiful Stars

I made the card base in white cardstock, but folding a piece in half and placing the die on top, but ensuring the point on the fold line sits off the card. This will ensure you get the fold of the card when you run it through the Big Shot machine.

Once you have your card base cut, die cut the same size framelit with gold foil sheet and adhere it to the white card.

I stamped the two large stars from the Bright & Beautiful Stamp set on Blackberry Bliss cardstock using Versamark ink, then embossing with gold embossing powder. Wow does it shine!

Die cut these two stars with the coordinating framelits, and cut a second gold foil star in the smaller size.

Adhere them with dimensionals as shown.

I finished it off with some rhinestones, just to add a little bling!
