Festival of Trees

Hello Crafters,

This Festival of Trees Stamp Set and coordinating punch will surely be a major hit with crafters abroad when the Holiday Catalogue goes live on 28 August 2014!

Festival of Trees

I used Baked Brown Sugar card stock to create the base of the card. The next layer is Champagne Glimmer Paper then Very Vanilla card stock. I stamped the tree image with Versamark and added Gold Embossing powder and heat set it. You can see the gorgeous shine of the embossed image!

I used the Tree punch to cut out a plain Baked Brown Sugar tree and the tree image. I glued the brown tree to the Very Vanilla Card before adding dimensionals to the back to raise it up.

Three small pearls were added to the bottom corner to finish it off!

Buying both the punch and coordinating stamp set can save you 15% if you purchase them as a bundle for only $48.95! Be sure to get yours from 28th August by entering the following code (137640)  into your online account in my Store.

A Festive Flurry Christmas

Hello Stampers,

Well talk about the silly season creeping upon us, what a busy week it has been!

Here a few of the Christmas ornaments that I have been busy making for our tree.

I can’t decide what colours I like best, so I did a few different ones.

Festive Flurry

This is Blushing Bride & Smoky Slate

Festive Flurry

Cherry Cobbler & Pear Pizzaz

Festive Flurry Festive Flurry

These 2 are Island Indigo and Bermuda Bay.

I love them all and thinks they look so pretty on the tree!

I have also made one to give to a work colleague. She is a lover of champagne, so I thought this was the loveliest gift idea.

I have also made some double sided ornaments to hang from a beam between our kitchen and lounge.

Ribbon Christmas Tree

Morning Stampers,

I am hosting Christmas this year, so it’s well and truly time for me to start getting organised with thinking about my table decorations.

Last night, once the kids were in bed, I sat up to make this ribbon Christmas tree!

Ribbon Christmas Tree

I used the ribbons in the 2013-14 In Colours: Gumball Green, Raspberry Ripple & Midnight Muse.

I cut the ribbon in lengths of 10cm each and used a pin to attach it to a cone.

For the top of the tree, I wasn’t sure how to finish it off, but ended up making a small paper rose and adhering it to the very top of the tree.

What do you think?

Have a wonderful Sunday all, as I am off to make some more Christmas decorations!

Stippled Blossom Christmas

Hello Stampers,

Today I have for you a Christmas Card but not using the traditional Christmas stamps.

The stamp set in have used here to do the wreath is Stippled Blossom (Clear 126747, Wood 132076).

The centre image is from the Wishing You stamp set (Clear 131751, Wood 131748).

Stippled Blossom Christmas Stippled Blossom Christmas

Stippled Blossom is one of my all time favourite Stampin’ Up! stamp sets and I case’d this card from Pinterest, so I can’t take all the credit. I saw it and knew I had to make it straight away!

I have stamped with Baked Brown Sugar Ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock. To give it a bit of sparkle, I used the Champagne Glimmer card and tied a Linen Thread bow.

It was a very quick and easy card to make.

Happy Stamping,

Kate

Christmas, Gift Ideas

Stamping on Candles

Hello Stampers,

Today I want to share with you a new technique I hadn’t tried before, Stamping on Candles.

Seeing as it is coming up to Christmas and I am madly trying to think of some new ideas for gifts, I thought I would give this a go!

Well, what do you think?

Stamping on Candles

Personally I think this first one worked much better than the second. This is Festive Flurry stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink.

Stamping on Candles

This is Beautifully Baroque stamped with Gold ink, but it is still a lovely effect.

These candles are for display only, I couldn’t bare to burn them!!!!

Happy stamping,

Kate

Christmas Wreath

Hello Stampers,

Well I have finally started my Christmas Decorations and my Christmas Wreath for the front door. What do you think?

I was going to add some more festive flurry die cuts, but then I thought it probably doesn’t need them and would it look too busy with more around the ring? Yes, I stopped myself and here is the finished product.

Stampin Up Christmas Wreath

I used Cherry Cobbler Stitched Edge Grosgrain Ribbon ($15.95 for 9.1m, item code 132135) from the Holiday Catalogue to wrap around the foam ring.

The ornament is hanging from the Silver Ribbon ($8.95 for 9.1m, item code 132137)

I made the ornament with the Festive Flurry Bundle ($83.95 clear, $95.95 wood). This bundles includes the Festive Flurry Stamp Set and the Festive Flurry Framelits Dies saving you 15% by purchasing as a bundle.

I used Smoky Slate and Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Inkpads and Stampin’ Dimensionals between each Flurry. To finish it off I added a Frosted Finishes Embellishment ($11.95 for 12, item code 132150). These embellishments are adorned with rhinestones ~ you know how much I love a bit of bling!!!!

To purchase most of these items, be sure to visit my online store!

Happy stamping,

Kate

Calendar Card, Christmas, Owl Punch

Yesterday’s Craft Class

Hello Stampers,

We had an epic Craft Class yesterday with 4 ladies thoroughly enjoying themselves and we had many many laughs along the way!

Here was the first card that we made ~ a Twisted Easel Tea Light Candle Card.

Tea Light Candle Card

and don’t fret, the tea light candle is battery operated, so no homes will burn down!!!

The next card we made included a mini calendar and post it note

Mini Calendar & Post it note Card

Then we some spare time at the end and the ladies were having so much fun, they wanted to make another mini calendar card but this time, a smaller one that I created myself. It also folds flat to be able to be mailed!

One of the ladies who attended said “I don’t have a crafty bone in my body” but she was so proud of her achievements and so were the rest of us. So next time I hold a craft class, be sure to come along!

Kate
