Week 48 – Starry Sky
Today I feature the Leaf Collection background stamp again like last week, but in different colours, Starry Sky & Orchid Oasis. The Perennial Postage dies were used to cut out 3 of the layers, two for the sentiment and one for the stamped background. This was added to a matt layer of white and onto the Starry Sky card base. The sentiment is stamped in Starry Sky ink and the edges of the postage dies is inked with a Sponge Dauber and Orchid Oasis (same as the cardstock). Some Gold & Vanilla Satin Edged Ribbon and the Night of Navy & Gold Glittered Ribbon were used to finish it off woth some 2023-2025 In Color Dots (Boho Blue).

On the inside I added a strip of the leaf collection stamping that was excess and some sprigs using the Bough Punch.

My next card is very decadent with all the gold Gilded Leafing (retiring soon, and I’m going to miss it), but how pretty does it look using this background stamp, Versamark ink & Heat & Stick Powder.

On the inside, some brushed ink around the edges with a gold embossed sentiment and some ribbon.

It really doesn’t need much else, except a sentiment and a few embellishments!

I haven’t inked this stamp yet but love the two examples you have shared Kate. I really like the first card with the two colours of leaves and the postage stamp die cut.

I especially love the gold leafing on your card, the dark blue/purple of Starry Sky and the gold just shine together. I have never used my pot of gold leaf you might inspire me to open it up just before it retires at the end of the month.

Two wonderful cards Kate. You are on fire with the Leaf Collection stamp. I adore the gold leafing on the second card and your colour combo and layering on the first. So beautiful xxx

Both great cards (that gorgeous background stamp is just awesome) … but the second is my favourite. I think this lush, gilded, design would work really well for a wedding/engagement card, too. Beautiful, Kate.
