Heart of Christmas with Christmas Classics

HOC Blog Header 2023Each Monday, some of the Art With Heart team are joining the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop to bring you creative inspiration showcasing our September-December Mini catalogue and Annual catalogue Christmas products.

Heart of Christmas Week 3

Today I am using product from our upcoming Mini catalogue, available from 6 September!

2023 September - December Mini Catalogue cover.

The Christmas Classics bundle is my focus for today’s card. I love the dies that are in this bundle, they are fairly big, so it makes a quick feature on my card. With some different DSPs in the background, I felt it needed something else, so scored the reverse side to give 2 borders above and below. This is a really neat idea without adding extra layers.

I already have a few layers behind my sentiment, with some diecuts and ribbon. I cut the large die in Shaded Spruce card and cut out the bits for the Holly and glued them over the top, leaving the berries red!

On the white insert, I added another sentiment and a strip of DSP to coordinate.

The Pecan Pie card base is something different for Christmas this year. It kind of reminds me of cinnamon which is definitely a Christmas frangrance!

  1. Kate you are a genius. What a clever way to ‘colour’ your berries red. I also love your choice of Pecan Pie for the card base. It is fast becoming one of my favourite colours. I especially love the way you have framed the DSP with your embossed lines. I will be CASEing that idea.

  2. It’s a beautiful card Kate with the Pecan Pie base and DSP. The Holly leave layers are well put together and great tip of layering the Holly leaves and cutting the green tips to reveal the red berries.

  3. I love the way you use embossed stripes to such great effect on your card, Kate. This is a fabulous design to show those big dies and the gorgeous DSP. So effective!
