Happy Boxing Day!!!!
Did you have a big day yesterday celebrating Christmas with your loved ones? We did and are very weary today, so I’ve just had a cuppa to perk up and now to share a happy card with you. I can tell you, there is no way I am leaving the house or heading to the Boxing Day sales for this little black duck!!!
I have shared this stamp set with you recently, as it’s a Sale-a-bration item that you can choose for FREE with any $90 order from 6th January 2015.
I have used Wild Wasabi, Pear Pizzazz, Rose Red, Blackberry Bliss inks with the coordinating card stock.
I stamped the flowers onto Whisper White card and sponged the edges with daubers.
The Wild Wasabi layer is embossed with the Spring Flowers TIEF. The next layer is some of the Painted Blooms DSP which will be available from 6th January.
Don’t forget to stamp an extra flower on the inside of the card ~ it really does finish the project off nicely.

And this floral bouquet has also arrived in my pre-order, so I will be making it up over the Christmas holidays. I bet you can’t wait for me to share this with you?!
Here is the Lotus Blossom stamp set. Now don’t be afraid when you see that it is two-step stamping, because this set is photopolymer and it is so easy to line up the stamps when they are completely clear, without using your stampamajig!!!
I have used Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride, Rich Razzleberry & Strawberry Slush inks with the coordinating card stock.
I stamped the flowers onto scrap whisper white card and then cut each one out. You don’t have to do this if you don’t like to fussy cut, but I wanted some added dimension. I also sponged the edges of each layer of card stock to soften the edges.
Don’t forget to stamp an extra flower on the inside of the card ~ it really does finish the project off nicely.

Yesterday was a huge day for those of us who are Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators because it was party time!!!!
What’s party time without party poppers!
Many of us in the Art with Heart Team got together at Claire’s house for the worldwide live streaming from Ohio, USA; a sneak peek of the upcoming Sale-a-bration & Occasions catalogues.
Loads of new stamps and papers and embellishments (but unfortunately I can’t show you those just at the minute) but see the cheers to know they are gorgeous and we can’t wait to get our hand on them, especially the Mother’s Day stamp sets that say Mum and not MOM!!!!
Even prize patrol was a huge hit with 3 of our ladies winning prizes!
Some ladies provided everyone with a little Christmas treat.
Ang and I with some of them!
We enjoyed some amazing food and a gorgeous looking snow cake!
We all had so much fun!

At Just Add Ink this week, it’s a sketch challenge!
The minute I saw this challenge I knew what I was going to do, it was just the colours that I wasn’t sure about. Because I wanted to use the ‘love’ die from the expressions thinlits, I thought I should do something with pinks!
Some of the items used in this card are from the Sale-a-bration & Occasions Catalogues:
To create the banner edges, I placed the pink pirouette card stock into the side of the Decorative Label punch. Isn’t it a cute result?!!!
I didn’t have any ribbon in coordinating colours, so I used the Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon and coloured it by placing it onto the Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Ink pad and let the colour soak in. I used my heat tool to dry it so the ink didn’t run onto the So Saffron tag.
I think the pearls just finish this card off perfectly.

Now here is something different and it was inspired by LeeAnn Greff.
This card folds flat and fits into a card size envelope as the base is A5 in size.
The colours used here are Raspberry Ripple, Midnight Muse & Primrose Petals with White.
and here it is opened up
And this is what it looks like standing up, cool huh?!!!
I used my Stampin’ Trimmer to make all the score lines and the cuts for this card, before decorating with Simple Stems stamp set (wood or clear).

Today I share a card that I have submitted for two card challenges, the first at Just Add Ink ~ just add a sunburst, and secondly at Pals Paper Arts ~ colour challenge (PPA194).
It’s Friday and the long weekend is about to begin, but my time off started yesterday (lucky me!) so I wanted to put some time aside today to enter some challenges and it just happened that these two challenges I was able to combine.
I began with an A5 size card base, measured the middle of either end and slid the card into the Scallop Tag Topper Punch, then trimmed off the excess. From the left side I scored at 3-1/4″ and folded in. Then decorate.
I have used the colour scheme from the colour challenge and at first, I wondered how it would turn out. Not colours I would normally think to combine, but I was pleasantly surprised.
The embossing folder was the only non SU item I used.
As you may have noticed by past blog posts, I have loved playing with the Scallop Tag Topper punch, as it is so versatile. You do not have to just keep it for making tags, but so many other things!!! See some of my other posts using this punch to make boxes, treat boxes, card in a box, chocolate treats, and more! Here it is open. I stamped the Simply Stars stamp set on the inside for a bit of interest as well as on some card stock and cut out for the front of the card. These were adhered with Stampin’ dimensionals.
Here is a close up of the embossed background and the stars showing the 3D effect created using Stampin’ Up Dimensionals and the gorgeous large rhinestone gives it that little sparkle!

I don’t know what it is, but I just can’t get enough of this Scallop Tag Topper Punch. I think it may have something to do with just how versatile it is and what can be created with it!
For the card base, I started with a piece of Soft Sky card stock measuring 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″.
Measure and mark the centre along the shorter side. Flip the card and repeat. Shimmy it into the Scallop Tag Topper Punch (#133324) and line up the mark with the centre of the scallop punch.

Here is a close up of the card!
I used the High Tide DSP (#132992) and By the Tide Stamp set (W#131910, C#129120) and fussy cut the fish and adhered with dimensionals.
The sentiment is from the Petite Pairs stamp set (W#128706, C#122497) and punched with the Large Oval punch (#119855).
