Heart of Christmas Week 1

Heart of Christmas Header 2024 - 1

Yay, it’s that time of year as we look forward to the release of the new September-December Mini catalogue and as demonstrators, we get to preorder product early (tomororw) so we can inspire you to start thinking about your Christmas crafting!

I’m thrilled you are here to join us each Monday evening for the AWHT Heart of Christmas Blog Hop showcasing Stampin’ Up! seasonal products.

Week 1

After a busy weekend with 18th birthday celebrations, I was in need of a quick and easy card, so I pulled out the More Wishes stamp set to feature. Stamping the words across a piece of Basic White card in different colours to add a bit of a Chrstmas light feel, I chose Boho Blue, Peach Pie, Poppy Parade and Shy Shamrock. As these stamps are photopolymer, it is reasonably easy to line them up by eyeballing them. This panel was trimmed and added across the centre of the Shy Shamrock card with a strip of 2024-2026 In Color™ Shimmer Paper (Shy Shamrock) on either side. This card front is adhered to a Thick Basic White card base.

I used a fine Black Artline marker and added some lines to the centre ‘Christmas’ word to add some shadowing. My hands are a little shaky and I struggle to hold a pen, but it looks okay from a distance 😉

Some Wink of Stella was also added to the left side of each letter for some sparkle, it’s hard to photograph, but is very pretty. Some Shy Shamrock Shimmer Gems were added too!

Thanks for dropping by. I hope you join me next Monday for more Christmas inspiration!

Please enjoy the wonderful inspiration of our next team member, Claire Daly.

  5. Shy Shamrock is a beautifully bright and festive green, to use for Christmas! I love the repeated stamping of the great, bold, sentiment, and the way you highlighted one word with black fineliner, Kate. Glimmer Paper and Shimmer Gems just add to the happiness of this lovely bright card. 🙂
