Week 14 – Coastal Cabana
Tonight’s card was created in a hurry as I had little time this week to be too creative. Covid got me good and I spent 6 days in hospital, so I was left time poor. Anyway, I’m slowly recovering and this scene is inspired by somewhere I would like to be right now, relaxing and recovering by a lake with stunning views across the water to the mountains!
I started with a piece of Thick Whisper White card and stamped the water image multiple times using Coastal Cabana ink and the Oceanfront stamp set. The mountains are stamped with an image from the Paradise Palms stamp set in Orchid Oasis ink. Using the large Water Painter brush, I gently added the Crumb Cake section between the water and the mountains. I also used the tips of the pine trees from the Peaceful Deer stamp set along the waters edge. The birds in the soft Tahitian Tide sky were also stamped in Crumb Cake ink.
The sand and rocks at the bottom of the card are stamped in Crumb Cake and Soft Suede inks and then very gently blended with the large Water painter brush. The grasses are Mossy Meadow ink and some Faux Sea Glass Shapes added. This panel was adhered to a Coastal Cabana card base.
The inside white panel has some rocks, sand and grasses added along the bottom.
Thanks for dropping by. I hope you can join me next week for inspiration using Crumb Cake.
