Kids Cards

Circle Treat Cups

Hello Crafters,

What a wonderful time for a long weekend, to be able to have an extra day to create, and to celebrate I want to share with you an awesome idea for kids cards using the Circle Treat Cups and fill with some tic tacs!

Who wouldn’t love receiving this card with a special treat inside?!! I know many a kid who would love this.

Treat Cup

My inspiration for this card, when driving to work and seeing the hot air balloons up above the Melbourne skyline. They look so peaceful, tranquil, colourful and so I filled this balloon with fruity tic tacs!!!! What kid doesn’t love tic tacs? I know my two girls certainly do!!!

Roar, it’s a lion

Hello Crafters,

Continuing with the baby theme of the past couple of days, here is a cute little card for any young child.

What child doesn’t like the zoo and visiting the lions? I know my girls certainly do!

I used the Floral Frames Collection (#127012) dies in the Big Shot with Soft Suede card.

Floral Frames Lion

To soften the edges and give him a bit of softness, I sponged the edges with a sponge dauber in the same colour as the card.

The face is created using the 2-1/2″, 3/4″ & 3/8″ circle punches in Summer Starfruit cardstock. The feet were punched with the Extra Large Oval punch, cut in half and the corners rounded with paper snips. I drew the lines/markings by hand.

When I photographed this card, I noticed the reflection in the glass, just like it is sitting at the waters edge getting a drink! Love it!
