Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining the Colour Creations Blog Hop to bring you creative inspiration showcasing our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.
Week 18 – Coastal Cabana
Today is a milestone birthday for me, the big 50!
My card tonight, is an easy one, using the Winter Owls Bundle and the background stamp, Fragrant Forest. I’ve used 3 inkpads to colour each level of the trees; Coastal Cabana, Lost Lagoon & Pretty Peacock. This was cut down to fit on a Basic White matt and onto a Coastal Cabana card base.
The sentiment is heat embossed with white emboss powder, melted with my Heat Tool and added with dimensionals. The owl is die cut and added with Mini Dimensionals. And that is all there is to it!!

On the inside, a basic white insert with a stamped tree & strip of card.

This is a most lovely card. Did you stamp off? When I do the three colors my Pretty Peacock is very dark and the other colors more vibrant than yours appear in the photo. Thank you for sharing!

No, Carol, my inkpad is old and needed a refill. Although, I did tap it gently so I only had a lighter colour.

I should have added that the ink will be a lighter tone once dry. I am glad you had a go!

Great card! I tried it, but am having problems inking the trees. I tried using the pads, and spots, but I am having trouble getting an even coverage. I also tried a roller. Any help?

Do you have a stamp positioning tool, Stamparatus or Misti? Then you can keep adding ink to get the desired coverage.
