Week 37 – Petal Pink
This fancy Fold design is very easy to create with a few scorelines and two cut lines to create the card base (template at the end of the post).
The belly band holds the card closed and the Something Fancy dies have these 2 nesting dies which were perfect to layer for the front of my card, with the Share a Milkshake stamp set and coordinating dies. The Gingham Cottage DSP is so pretty to decorate the panels and the Country Floral Lane DSP on the belly band and inside the card.
The spoon and the bowl are die cut from Silver Foil, perfect for serving this sweet treat.
When the Belly Band slides off, you get a beautiful surprise inside. It opens right up and the centre pops forward. The thinner central panels at the top and bottom can either fold backwards…
or forward like this (which I prefer) but I guess the recipient can decide 😉
Look at the textured white centre panel with the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder? How pretty is that?!!!

I was initially inspired by a similar card by Mixed Up Crafts on YouTube, but hers was a much bigger style. I wanted mine to fit into our C6 envelope, so set about making my own template.

Wow Kate, such a gorgeous card. I love your fancy fold & thank you for supplying the template. Your layering with embossing and DSP is all delightful. I love the dish of ice cream and the milkshake – I may have to get this bundle now. xxx

Petal Pink is the perfect choice for your icecream and milkshake card! I love the pop out in the middle (I prefer the top and bottom pushed inwards, too). Fantastic choice of DSP, too.

Great colours for a milkshake-themed card, Kate! This is such a lovely, and fun, card. Gorgeous papers, embossing, and sequins … all so pretty.

Another stunning card Kate. I love the silver bowl and spoon on the front and the combination of DSP on the inside is gorgeous. Thank you for your extra effort in providing the template, I definitely want to give this fancy fold a go.

This is a ‘Wow’ card Kate and gorgeous use of the Shake a Milkshake stamp set. Love how you have two options to display the card inner. And those treats are good enough to eat !

What a fabulous card – that little silver spoon is adorable! Love this fancy fold, Kate, and the versatility of ways to display it. The Cane Weave EF looks amazing and the Gingham Cottage DSP works really well with the Country Floral Lane DSP.
